A-kon is Fast Approching!

Have I mentioned that I'm excited for Ak-kon yet? Cause I totally am. o.o It's like this giant rollercoster ride right now becasue my car keeps playing games with me, like it's perverbaly taunting me. So one minutes it like I'm going to make it! And the next its like fuck! So yeah... I'm going to let a few people in Dallas know when I leave so that just incase kamakzi cars decides to have it's way with me there can be someone on the other side who can be can save me from roadside crazies and no restrooms.
I like how everyone is suddenly complaining about me having an old car, just cause I'm moving soon. When I was staying here it was perfectly fine for me to drive around and to places far away in the suicide mobile but now thats not ok =_=
I think people just like to make stupid excuses for things. Just cause I have a pair and I'm not afriad to just pick up and go somewhere where no one knows who I am doesn't mean they should get to be pissy. I did the same thing when I moved to Dallas. I'm not someone who is particularly inclinced to stay somewhere, I don't have much to ground me to a single place. I'm still looking for that place that I fit in, and being afraid to do that is what get people stuck at jobs they hate and with no oppurtunities. And I'm not going to let the happen to me.

Little rant a side. i thought it would be fun to post pictures of the costumes that I'm going to be taking with me and then later this week I can post pictures of me being all cool and acttually wearing them. I love making things I truely do. As much as I always think about reconsidering my future job plans though I still want to draw better so I'm sticking with that for now. I maynot know how to make a pattern on my own but I can damn sure modify the hell out of one! That's the great things about making costumes. There is no wrong way, there's lots of guess work and decision making and it can always be changed to make it better (just can't make them bigger oncce they're cut, that's the only rule lol XP)

Hanna is Not a Boy's Name! http://hanna.aftertorque.com/
Awesome webcomic by Ms. Tessa Stone.

Though her comic can definatly use some fine tuning (the 180 line is murdered to hell and back in that comic) she has amazing story telling and character design skills. I'm in love <3... Though I have mini yelling setions at my computer screen when i see the 180 line broken.. I die a little on the inside each time. But even some great directors have broken this rule in the begining. I think she'll learn the more she goes along and there are great things a head for her.

Don't you love my mini rants? lol ok anywho.. costume pieces!!

Sally Jupiter
Watchmen (the Movie)

Sally is a strong 50s woman. I like this Silk Spectre better than the second one. Go Sally!!!

Facless Nurse
Silent Hill: Origins

Yeah Silent Hill makes me piss my pants. But I love it anyway!

Talwyn Apogee
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction & Quest for Booty

I love Talwyn >_< And she's a character from the series that doesn't require a massive amount of make-up or a fursuit... I was trying to get someone to be the smuggler but I kinda gave up on that lol. Ratchet and Clank is one of my all time favorite video games. Like you don't even know I'm obssessed. I even have a Ratchet and Clank tattoo 8D... And that just the peak of the iceberg lol XD
AND LOOK AT THOSE CURVES!!! I'm personaly tired to the stick woman, size 2, hang like a boy, standard. Talwyn is a REAL woman!

I'm pretty sure I've already told my story about these boots but just to refresh anyones memory. I DID NOT make these. For the love of god do not hold these horrid thing to my credit. They were made by somone else, who i commissioned and not only was ther service horible but so are those shoes. Not only are they the wrong color (they're supposed to be the same color as the belt and pouches. thanks for not being able to match a swatch, idiots) and they obviously didn't want to take the time to finish seams properly (look at that white on the straps, that's a fucking unfinished edge!!!) but they are made out of PVC which is a great material if you know how to work with it. Which they apperently don't. They glued that made part of the boot to a shoe base and definatly used the wrong kind of glue. It's coming off sticky and slippery, it super gross and unprossesional. Also they were too short and not the the measurments that I gave them.

That's how they were when I got them. I've done several modifications, fixing the bottoms and making them taller so I'm not getting stabbed in the knee. I so plan on evenually tossing these and remaking them myself in the proper color. I ran out of time this time around though. I'll stick to making my own shoes from now on thanks.

Anywho. I bet A-kon is going to be a blast this year and I can't wait to get my crazy stalker friend to take lots of pictures of me in these costumes... So I have cool costume pictures like all of those fancy people lol XD
