I love drawing Dom and Mac together for some reason, even though every time they get close everything gets fucked up lol. This one looks a little cutesy as a sketch but it's going to go a little sideways once i get to coloring it.

Dom is too short... That needs to be fixed, but right now I'm so blaming it on perspective XP

And Toddler Mac... I think lol... I hate drawing little kids they have no defintion to them they're just a lump of lots of flesh skin lol I get points for trying though!!!!!

And now starts some randomness.

I was on facebook today (like I usually am) when one of those "someone has answer questions about you" posts showed up on my wall... And well needless to say I got curious, so I clicked on it and allowed the application and it shows you all of the questions and what the answers where but not who answered them. Clever bastards. Well to figure out who said what you have to answer questions yourself. Yeah whatever, I'm to lazy for that geez lol. So I exited the apllication back to my homepage and lo and behold it post that I answered some questions about one of my friends... And I so didn't.... WTF... Makes me wonder how many of those "answered questions" were really real instead of just generated curiousity to get you to use their application. Needless to ssay I completely removed the application from my facebook. *le sigh* so weird I probably would have gone back and acttually answered some of the questions if it hadn't done that, gotta love programers and their sneaky ways of advertising.

o.o I'm bored I'm ready for June. A-kon woo!!! Considering I still get to go and what not.

I'm also currently making 3 bridesmaid dresses for one of my friends who's getting married soon. :) They're a really pretty aqua color.

Dance in the Dark

Yeah I ened up just saying screw it to coming up with a fancy background so i went to the funness that is a gradient!!!! Also made the glove darker so it's not as in your face. I am very happy with this :)
Next I'm so doing a portrait of Niecy Nash. She's one of my favorite female comedians and well quiet frankly I need practice with darker skin tones too, and she's so pretty as well :D

More Gaga! I so have Telephone stuck in my head. I really like how her lips turned out, it was weird cause I never use pink that's usually my fill color when I color skin so I can make sure I don't miss any spots.

I need to fix her hair, it needs to fall more down at the ends, and I think I'm going to add a glove to that hand, that's why it's so under developed.

Lady Gaga

Yup i so did. I had the urge to do a Lady Gaga painting and this is where I'm at right now. I do love her so. She has really pretty features and skin tone so I'm having all kinds of fun with this :)

I'm loving Shidonii though XD she told me tame Lady Gaga, and I do love Lady Gaga so. I've kinda gotten distracted from ym line up cause now I really want to do a painting of her.

Chest Pillows

This is kind of a random post, but it's something I thought of while I've be drawing the line-up of Doom the past couple of days. This is going to be kind of an.... Odd blog entry so do be warned.

For those of you who haven't figured it out yet underlying structure plays a HUGE role in drawing expecially in drawing humans. Bone structure, muscule mass, skin elasticity (saggy skin >_<) and body fat change the way people look and all in different ways. Knowing that it's also important to know what is being worn on top of all that. Some times such a thing can be infered from a characters personality.

I remember once someone was trying to get me to draw a girl. And they were obviously coming up with this woman on the spot which is super annoying, it's kinda hard to draw someone that really is nothing, and I remember at one point I asked "what kind of bra is she wearing?" And they looked at me like I was completely insane. Really guess what sweetheart the type of bra will change the way breasts look. Esentually breasts are like water ballons for those of you who need a visually reference. They don't just stick in one place and never move. Breasts are a collection of mamorey glandes and fat. The large the cup size the more water ballon like they become, and believe it or not when there is nothing holding them up and together they acttually drop about an inch and rest more towards the side of the body not the middle. The sternum is a flat area. Yeah I know this is weird to talk about, but I've seen lots of bad drawings recently that make me want to find a truck load of babies to punch in the face. Oh also interesting tidbit that most people don't know since we're on the subject of boobs really ones float and fake ones sink, because the liquid they use to fill the implants in more dense than water.

Yes I knoe lots of random facts, cause well I read alot instead of asking people I go find a book on it XP. Medical books are acttually very helpfull, it's not only about structure but about reactions and all the things that make up that system.

It takes more than oh hey I wanna draw. Even though that is a good place to start. It's research and observance heavy. I brought up the particular subject of breast because well that's one thing that you aren't exactly going to go up to someone and ask questions like that, and not alot of people really think about underwearing having an affect on what they are drawing even though it does, and breasts are on thing that those differences are more apperent in.

Oh and on another side note for all you people who drawing size 2 women with size H boobies I want to punch you in the face. That is imposible on so many different levels. And for you kids who are like oh implants.. NO! someone who is a size two wouldn't have enough skin elastisty to sustain implants that large they would rip through her skin! And well as far as natural things go you don't get big boobs with out big being else where too everything has to even out, humans are purportional things. Yes exaggerating is fun id o it all the time, but that is one form that irks me.

And that is apperently my rant on boobies XP

And no I am not an expert on anatomy I still have problems with guys more than women though, but the only naked men I've seen are the ones in life drawing and we had mostly female models so there you go.

B.D.A. Line-up Preview

So I had to post this.... I have no idea if Gr would acttually wear anything like that or if his ears even look like that, all I know is he's a phoenix and his facial apperence... but I'm so loving the way he came out... Expecially those ears!!! And look at the badass book, those hands were a pain i ended up redrawing them alot... If he doesn't look like that someone will have to tell me, but I'm so coloring that drawing reguardless... 3nvy is next to him... I need to figure out something more interesting for her to wear....

Dom And Mac

Just a couple of quick cutesy sketches of Dominico and Macabre. He a good foot taller than her and I think it's damn funny. Probably more to come but I drew these a few minutes ago and really liked them expecially the first one.

Mac being annoyingly bored... Because I'm so bored my eyes are going to fall out so I drew someone else being bored, but she has someone to go bug lol :P I love Dom's shoes in that drawing too. Fancy Italian leather shoes, and suspenders just CAUSE! And for the strangest reason I just like drawing people smoking.

There's lots of anatomical errors in the second drawing but if no one notices them I sure as hell am not going to point them out :P

Grey Mason Holmes

So here's a lovely little guy that I'm currently working on fleshing out. His name is Grey Mason Holmes. Don't you just want to pinch his checks? I do!



But then he might hit me with the golf club. lol. I really like the concept of him, so the unfortunate people at RP with me are going to be seeing him pop up so I can finish figuring out who he is. He's alot more fleshed out than the other characters that I've been throwing at them though so I get points for that.

He's a former detective for Scottland Yard who went off the deep end when his wife and infant daughter were murdered. He went after the sindicate that was responsable and used his charm, charisma, and way with words to litterally convince the offending parties to take their own lives. Even after that he began to see the ugliness of man-kind and saw them as something that needed to be put down and not saved and continued his killing never acttually raising a hand against them. He was only caught when someone else interupted his mental tourture of another and he acttually killed both of them himself with a switch blade in his pocket. He was sentenced to life in prison for his crimes however his stay there was short lived as he convinced each of his new cellmate in turn to take their own lives and eventually the warden after he had obtained his keys freeing himself from the cage.

He's kinda like this fucked up mix of Sweeny Todd and Mr. Patrick Jane if I had to compare him to someone. He's someone that when you meet you idmediatly trust him and feel safe. He often speaks like an aged philospher. I love him like you don't even know *hugs*

I'm going to start drawing him more, he's a lovely gentleman with lovely green eyes.

Script

I want to make a new tattoo.... One with script this time, I've always wanted one but I've always had the problem of settling on what i want the first one to say. I'm not the type that gets tattoos at random (even though that's what I tell people so I don't have to explain each one multipul times... it gets annoying like you don't even know.) So I've decided that I'm going to start posting my assortment of posibly script text here. It'll be a nice way to help me think through each of them. Some of them would be just the script by itself and other would be incorpirated into something else, I'll post just the words for now and at a later time when I riffle through them I'll start post the designed scripts and images.... More Asmodeus Sketches

So of the sketches that got me to the final painting of Asmodeus... Well the cleaner ones anyway, and the ones that look better, a few junky ones got in just becasue of proximity.



At one point I decided he needed a horde of conqubines so I induded those sketches too, even though they really didn't go anywhere, some of them have so really exagaratted feature though and I like them. First he has his way with them... then he eats them... Aw fun times lol. I like that drawing of his back alot (with the wings) I think I might end up coloring that one up, it's nice :D

That mature warning on my blog is coming in handy for this post lol >_<

More Orthrus

Why in God's name can this not look how it looks on my tablet?!? It looks so much better there ;_; the colors are a lot darker and richer on my tablet not so much looking at them on this screen, they got alot lighter and its driving me crazy!!!!!! Bah!

But regardless more Orhtrus' progression.

BDA Sketches

I think Orthrus deserves a kitty lol.. Hence the cat drawing at the top... I'm think either a Japanese Bobtail or a Somali. Both have their awesome pluses, and both have awesome tails!!!! The Somali is a cat that is often mistaken for a fox look at the bushy tail and the Japanese Bobtail is a cat with a stubby tail that still has all of its vertebra unlike manxes... I think I'm leaning towards the bobtail though cause it's easier to draw and I like the coloring pattern I drew XP lol

Other than take other random sketches, I know it's not much but I erased alot I got some funky drawing today >_< I think I end up making Mac skinnier every time I draw her, and well drawing her with clothing is NO FUN! lol, then we've got Alcina looking for cigarettes (another bad drawing but I left i cause I'm lazy) I do like that drawing of Orthrus... also naked... and drunk lol.. Bah!

Compression Vests and Cosplay Front

So I haven't really talked about anything cosplay related recently, mostly becasue I've been otherwise occupide attempting to gather the funds to move here in 3 months, and I still haven't gotten anywhere near enough, it's stressful.

BUT moving on.

I normally don't cosplay guys very often because well being a woman with boobs, it doesn't usually work out well, and I kinda have this thing for breathing... Call me crazy. I've seen people talking about using compression vests alot on cosplay.com and since I do have a few male cosplays lined up for myself i decided to check it out. I ended up ordering the "Extreme Chest Concealer" from Underworks. It only applies compression in the chest area so your tummy isn't constricted so i thought that was a good idea so i wouldn't feel completely suffocated. When asking about sizing they said to measure your rib cage and then arounf the fullest part of your bust and then take the average and order that size. For me that translated to a medium. When it arrived I tried it on having to pull it from feet up to get it on. It was super uncomfortable and hard to breath (not to mention get on in the first place) but it did make me really flat, despite that fact though i decided that I wouldn't be able to walk around at a con feeling that constricted so I returned it and went up a size to the large, which may or may not have worked. I got it in the mail today and it was so much easier to get on. Still put it on from the bottom up just because of the way it's designed and it's sooooooooooooooo much better. It flattens my down to and A which is pretty epic considering that I am a DD. I can breath and it really don't feel like I've done anything different except when I look in the mirror flat chest. So for any kiddies interested in compression vests I do recomened the one i got, and i would go with how they say to size, the first one i got was only and inch to small (but when it comes to boobs an inch is alot) and if it doesn't work they have a 15 day exchange refund policy, when I did my exchange it took them less than a week to send me the new one.

Other than that... I have gotten some skin colored tights (a little darker than my skin because no one make tights that pale lol) and a thong leotard for my Cammy cosplay... I really didn't expect the leotard to be as comfortable as it is.. weird. I'm sure it'll atrract all kinds of unwanted attention even with tights underneath and me not acttually showing anything, but Cammy is one of my favorite characters annnnnd I'm a stickler for deatils. I've also half finished the wig. It's been an experiance I've been braiding the extention into the wig which is acttually work out pretty well and getting a pretty decent length (though not the awesome ankle length sadly, but past my butt at least) one more braid to go!!!

I'm also about to finish my Noel costume, dress which will only take a few hours if that and then the arm cuff things which could prove to be interesting... We'll see.

Now with More Curls!!!!

Ashelin Wig commission, she asked for it to be curlier and this is what the result is. At first I tried curling the whole wig and that just created a world of problems because you could see the netting. So I had to uncurl it which took alot longer than I though it would o.o and I ended up curling the top layer and then a few strands here and there and I'm acctually pretty happy with how it looks right now. Hope she likes it too :D

Tattoo... It was kinda weird to do, I took the reference and distored and skewed it on him so it would look more natural and then painted over it. Came out pretty nice I'd say.
